Mabel's Album

My great-aunt Mabel Virgo, who lived at 'Sunny Bank', Walton-in-Gordano, near Clevedon, was a young woman in her twenties when she died suddenly in 1916.  From 1906 she had kept an album to which she persuaded all and sundry to contribute.  This included a number of servicemen that she encountered when working in South Wales (hence the Aberdare address on one of the contributions).  I attach five of the Album entries which are all clearly identifiable as the work of servicemen and shed an interesting light on the preoccupations of the time.
